Ceramics for on and off the mesa
mesa: (n) an isolated, flat-topped elevation which is bounded from all sides by steep escarpments and stands distinctly above a surrounding plains.
mesa: (n) the Spanish word for table
MESA Ceramics (previously ~TAY~ Ceramics) is a small ceramics line founded by Taylor Neaman-Goudey, Bay Area/Oakland-based potter, social worker, and mother to two kids 5 and under.
All items are thrown by hand, using high-fire stoneware clay from several local clay companies. They are then hand glazed and fired in a gas reduction kiln where the magic of chemistry and clay gods combine to create truly unique wonders that cannot be exactly replicated. Expect (and hope for) individual differences.
MESA Ceramics are meant to bring joy to the everyday moments of life. They are dishwasher, microwave, and food safe, unless otherwise noted.
